Summer 2008 is the first program of the Student Travel Services launched by the Student’s Blog. Each year we come up with new and exciting trips for students in both summers and winters. We place high value to learning outcomes on each trip. These range from leadership development to team building exercises.

 ABOUT ‘STUDENTS BLOG’

The STUDENTS BLOG is quarterly student-operated news, arts and entertainment publication. Students from many disciplines that form the S BLOG family do all of the reporting, writing, editing, illustration, photography, layout and business management for the magazine.

Publication Concept

The idea is to create a student-run magazine that creates discussion of various issues, excitement, and awareness of campuses through out the city of Lahore and most importantly to develop sense of community.

Content

We pride ourselves on writing about issues that will engage, entertain and challenge students. We have a team of some of the most innovative and creative students from various universities of Lahore. As a result, S BLOG is considered to be clever and chic.

Students listen to its opinions, and seek out copies. We include articles about fashion, politics, sport, and media as well as high profile celebrity interviews. The high light of the magazine is that students will get to know what is happening in different universities and schools around the country.
The design of S BLOG is being designed to the highest of quality. We experiment with ideas, and the result is a fresh, interesting read. We have designed the magazine for this year: it varies from 36 to 60 pages just under A4 size (267x210) with simple, full color design focusing on original art and great photography.

The magazine is released quarterly.

Profile

There are regular meetings for students to contribute to the magazine throughout each term. These meetings are also used to train students in a variety of media related skills including graphic design, proofreading, computing skills, and editing.

We also ensure that there are posters detailing the content of the magazine, and any news that the magazine has, throughout campus so that people are constantly aware of it.
This term we will also be hosting a S BLOG events open to all students, involving bands and artwork, which will contribute to raise the magazine’s profile.
